Music has been at the heart of Gravity since the very first day we opened our doors. Over the last 14 years we have hosted more than 3,500 live performances, contributed over $20,000 directly to local artists, and built one of Calgary's most intimate and respected listening rooms.

This isn't background music. This is a room where emerging artists command the stage, and where audiences lean in and listen.

Every performance adds another chapter to what Gravity is, a community built on the belief that great coffee and great music belong in the same room.

Coffee Funds the Music

At Gravity, every bag of coffee we roast is named after a musician, a song, or a lyric that means something. And it doesn't stop there. A portion of every sale goes directly into the pockets of the artists who perform here. To date we have put over $20,000 back into the hands of local musicians, because at Gravity, the music isn't a feature. It's the mission.

Artist of the Month

Each month we shine a spotlight on one artist from our community. Our Artist of the Month gets their own branded coffee bag in our online store, their name, their story, front and centre on every bag we sell. They receive $10 from every bag sold, plus $200 to headline an end-of-month showcase where they also get to set their own cover charge. It's our way of putting artists in front of an audience that extends well beyond our four walls.
